At Sigasig (by Gabay), we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our platform designed for DepEd-ready LMS services and automated grading, and when you visit this website.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, build courses, or enter grading data. This may include personal details (such as your name and email), the school you select as your school when you sign up, and student data (such as grades and academic progress). We also automatically collect certain technical information (like IP address and browser type) to ensure our platform functions properly.

2. How We Use Your Information

The information we collect is used to:

Provide, operate, and maintain the Sigasig platform.
Process your grading data to automatically generate ECRs and DepEd forms.
Improve our AI assessment generator and other product features.
Communicate with you regarding updates, support requests, and service announcements.
Show the school you selected, without your name, on our public school map (see section 4).

You can create a Sigasig account or sign in at app.sigasig.online with your Google account instead of a password. When you choose “Sign in with Google”, you ask Google to share the following with Sigasig, and nothing else:

your name (first and last name);
your email address, and whether Google has verified it;
your Google profile picture.

We use this information only to:

find the Sigasig account that belongs to your email address and sign you in to it;
create your Sigasig teacher account on the Free plan the first time you sign in, using your name, email address, and profile picture as your account profile;
send you account emails, such as your welcome email and sign-in verification codes if you turn on two-step verification.

Sigasig does not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, contacts, or any other Google data, and does not receive your Google password. We do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising, and do not share it with third parties except the service providers described in section 6 that host and operate Sigasig. Sigasig's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Your name, email address, and profile picture are stored with your Sigasig account for as long as the account exists. You can stop using Google sign-in at any time by removing Sigasig from your Google Account permissions; your Sigasig account remains and you can sign in with a password through “Forgot Password”. To delete your account and the Google information stored with it, email support@gabay.online from the address on your account (see section 7).

4. Public School Map

Our homepage shows a map of schools where Sigasig is used. A school appears on it when a user selects it as their school while creating a workspace, or when the school runs a Gabay school workspace under an agreement with us (shown as a “School partner”).

For each school, the map shows only:

the school's name, the levels it offers, and its DepEd division and region, taken from the public DepEd school directory;
for schools selected by users, the number of Sigasig users at that school as a range (for example, “1–4”), never an exact number;
for school partners, the parts of the platform the school uses.

The map never shows your name, email, role, subjects, or classes, or any learner information, and pins mark the school's division rather than its address. School affiliations chosen by users are self-reported and are not verified by us, and a listing does not mean that a school or the Department of Education endorses Sigasig.

If you do not want your school to appear, or a school is listed by mistake, email support@gabay.online and we will remove the listing. School administrators may make the same request for their school.

5. Data Security and Isolation

We implement robust security measures to safeguard your information. For users in School Workspaces, student and teacher data are stored in separate database schemas for each school to keep one school's records apart from another's.

6. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information or student data to third parties. We may share necessary data with trusted service providers who assist us in operating the platform (e.g., hosting providers like Vercel or database providers), provided they agree to maintain the confidentiality of our users' data.

This website also loads content from third parties, which receive your IP address and basic browser information when you visit:

Google Analytics, to measure website visits;
Supademo, for the interactive product tour;
Esri, which provides the background map tiles for the school map.

7. Your Rights

Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), you have the right to be informed about, access, correct, object to, and request the deletion of your personal information. You can exercise these rights by contacting us at the address below. Because Sigasig processes student data on behalf of educators, requests regarding student records should typically be directed to the corresponding school or teacher administering the account.

If you believe your personal information has been mishandled, you may also file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date.
